Dear Dr XXX,

For over a decade Armstrong-Hilton has been editing research grant proposals for academics in Hong Kong universities, and for some departments and department clusters.

Our experience covers proposals from a wide variety of fields, and we know the time pressure you are under. If you would like us to edit your proposal, just reply to this email and we’ll be ready to help.

We look forward to hearing from you.

  1. Have never heard of this sort of proposal editing service...(Is it only offered in hk?) What can they do that is really value adding to the proposal? The only thing that actually worths 'the money' is the research idea and it is not something that these services can offer...

Being a project manager / fundraiser is not a n easy task. We have to read and think and scratch our head hard to come up with new ideas that are interesting to us and people we work with / supervise, and then sell successful to get the resources... So, I think successful academic / researchers are yes project manager and fundraiser and also they are research directors who steer the research direction and identify interesting research questions that worth answering. (I am not saying I can do that successfully and I am not a successful research... but I am trying...)
